1)Test loading device:A steel pressure head with dual-point loading,which should allow two equal loads to act simultaneously on two third points of the beam;the two support heads and two pressure heads in contact with the specimen should have arc-shaped end faces with a diameter of about 15 mm(to prevent pressure melting at the contact surface,the arc-shaped end faces should preferably be made of non-metallic materials),and one of the support heads and two pressure heads should preferably be designed to be able to roll and tilt back and forth.
2)Samples:Frozen undisturbed soil samples were used,and the sampling and preparation methods were carried out in accordance with the provisions of 6.2.2 in MT/T593.1.Frozen remolded soil samples were used,and the preparation methods were carried out in accordance with the provisions of 6.2.3 in MT/T593.1.

The flexural strength is taken as the average of the three measured values.If the difference between the largest and smallest flexural strength valuesof the three samples and the median value exceeds 15%of the median value,the test should be repeated.
