I.Functions and Scope of Application:

 

This machine is a non-metallic material testing instrument designed and manufactured according to the latest international and national standards.It is mainly used to determine the heat distortion temperature and Vicat softening point temperature of non-metallic materials such as plastics,hard rubber,nylon,electrical insulating materials,long fiber reinforced composite materials,and high-strength thermosetting laminates.

This highly intelligent testing instrument is easy to operate and offers precise control,making it widely used in universities,research institutions,and product quality supervision and inspection units.It employs single-chip microcomputer control and PID phase-modulated output,and features an upper temperature limit setting;heating automatically stops when the test temperature reaches the upper limit.

Vicat(VST)definition:placing the sample in a liquid medium or a heating chamber.The temperature of a standard indenter when it is pressed into a sample cut from a pipe or fitting by 1 mm under a force of(50+1)N is determined under constant rate of heating.

Definition of heat distortion(HDT):A standard specimen subjected to a constant three-point bending load in a flat(preferably)or side-standing manner,resulting in one of the bending stresses specified in the relevant part of GB/T 1634.Under uniform heating conditions,the temperature at which the standard deflection corresponding to the specified increment of bending strain is reached is measured.
